It’s not official, but indications are that Xbox Series X console will be out around the holidays.
According to Bloomberg’s Dina Bass, the Xbox Series X release date very well could be sometime in November. No hard specific date has been confirmed, nor is the release. It’s all based off a series of tweets the reporter had with a Microsoft contact.
Microsoft of course is stating that they have not yet announced any information as to a release date for the Xbox Series X. The census previously was that the console release would be in December sometime. It may have been pushed up a little bit to take advantage in the huge uptick in gaming recently as a result of the COVID-19 lockdowns etc.
Some may recall that official Microsoft regional websites did in fact publish that the console would be out “Thanksgiving 2020.” Then they walked-it-back saying that it was a “mistake.” So, if it is released for Thanksgiving would that make the mistake saying it was a mistake actually not a mistake? Microsoft PR at its finest. Coincidentally, a majority of Xbox consoles were released in November.
If it’s release for Thanksgiving, are you getting it then? Or, are you going to have to wait to get it as a Christmas gift? Let us know @glancegame
