Giancarlo Esposito will star as the villain in the new Far Cry game.
PSN over in Hong Kong did a whoopsy and accidentally leaked some details about Far Cry 6. Ubisoft was quick to respond by subsequently releasing a short clip “teaser” highlighting the role to carried out by none other than the Breaking Bad bad-guy himself: Giancarlo Esposito. The full reveal of the trailer will be available during the Ubisoft Forward event happening on July 12, 2020.

The leaked information has since been removed, but it did shine some light on the forthcoming setting of Far Cry 6. The squeal goes down in Yara, a run-down tropical paradise yearning for its former glory. A ruthless dicator, Anton Castillo, is hell bent on achieving that through any means necessary with his son Diego.
One would assume that Esposito will be playing the character of Anton Castillo. It seems like a tailor-made role and we’re expecting some great things from Esposito here as it allows him to shine and bake in the glory of badness.
Far Cry 6 launches on PS4 and PS5 – a free upgrade is available for digital purchases if you’re moving from an older console to a newer one. No word of official support coming out of Ubisoft concerning the whole upgrade scenario.
Launch date is February 18, 2021. Make sure you tune into Ubisoft’s Forward event to get more details.
